Region
One (1) voluntary dive of the diver’s choice with a maximum degree of difficulty of 1.8, followed by five (5) optional dives, one from each of the five (5) groups.
The top two divers from each respective region automatically qualify, followed by the next 22 at-large qualifiers statewide, with no more than 16 from any one region.
If a region has more than 16 diving entries, a preliminary and final format will be used, with a cut after the first round of six (6) dives.
In that case, the 16 highest-scoring finishers from the preliminary regional event will advance to the regional finals and perform their six (6) dives again.
Divers may change their dives for the finals, but not the dive order, provided all score sheet requirements are met.

State
One (1) voluntary dive of the diver’s choice with a maximum degree of difficulty of 1.8, followed by five (5) optional dives, one from each of the five (5) groups.
The 16 highest-scoring finishers from the preliminary state event will move on to the state finals and perform their six (6) dives again.
Divers will be permitted to change dives, not dive order, for the finals so long as all sheet requirements are met.
Scores from the preliminaries and finals will be combined to form a cumulative total.

Additional Information
Per NFHS rules, regular-season diving competitions may be conducted using an 11-dive format for All-American consideration or other recognition or competitive purposes.
If the competition is diving-only, it does not count toward the meet limit.
