After consulting with the Green River Core of Engineers, The Bass Federation, and Major League Fishing the decision has been made to move the KHSAA Bass Fishing Region 3 Tournament to Lake Cumberland in Burnside.

Region 3 will be launching from the ramp located at:

General Burnside Island State Park, 8801 S Highway 27, Burnside KY 42519 

Any boats from Region 3 that have already registered for the Green River location do NOT need to re-register for the tournament.

The KHSAA will also be conducting a female-division-only Regional and State Championship in 2025. 

• In order for a regional female-only division to occur, there has to be a minimum of one launched female-only division boat on the day of competition.   
• For the female-only division, a school may enter a maximum of four boats.
• These four shall not count against the limit of six in the coed division.
• All athletes assigned to boats in the female division, including substitutes, must be female.
• Entries in the coed division can be all male, all female, or a combination of both genders, including all substitutions.
•  All boats entered in the female-only division are not eligible for the coed division.
• Substitutes cannot be assigned to boats in both divisions.

When registering, select the “Division” to indicate whether this boat is female-only or coed. There will be a separate registration form for each division. Make sure that you are registering for the proper region and that you register using your KHSAA Member School name and mascot and not a club name. The deadline for registration is Monday, April 21, 2025.  

Regional Tournaments will take place on April 26, 2025. The State Championship will be May 9-10 at Lake Cumberland in Jamestown, KY. You can view the regional tournament instructions by clicking on the following link:
