02/03/23 – Sweet 16® Draw Show Set for Feb. 15 on NFHS Network

Pairings for the 2023 Mingua Beef Jerky Girls’ Basketball Sweet 16® and the UK HealthCare Boys’ Basketball Sweet 16® will be drawn Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. ET on the KHSAA’s annual Sweet 16® Draw Show.

The draw is scheduled for live broadcast on the NFHS Network at no cost to viewers and can be accessed through khsaa.tv. The 2023 Sweet 16® Draw Show will be hosted by Dave “Buzz” Baker and Brian Milam from WKYT in Lexington, where it will originate from the KHSAA office.

Both tournaments will be held inside Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center, with the 62nd installment of the Girls’ Sweet 16® taking place March 8-11 and the 105th Boys’ Sweet 16® taking place March 15-18.

As part of its annual anniversary recognitions, the KHSAA will honor the 25th anniversary of the 1998 Sweet 16® titles for both the girls (Elizabethtown) and boys (Scott County), as well as the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Shawnee boys’ team.

Each game of the 2023 Boys’ and Girls’ Sweet 16® will be broadcast live on the NFHS Network to subscribers. Brackets with official pairings will be made available on the basketball home page at khsaa.org following the conclusion of the Draw Show and later on the KHSAA/Riherds Scoreboard.

Tickets will be available for purchase on khsaatickets.org on or before the draw is conducted. Renewal ticket purchasers have been contacted by the Central Bank Center Box Office by email about continuing the purchase of prior held tickets, and then following the renewal period, the remaining unsold seats will be available online at khsaatickets.org.
