Reminder about 2024 Sponsor and Sweet 16® Club Reception on Friday
Please accept our invitation to join the Association Board, Staff, Sweet 16® Club, Corporate Sponsors and event workers for breakfast/brunch Friday, March 22nd from 8 to 9:45 a.m. in Club B (Second Floor of Rupp Arena).
Entrance can be made to the building in several ways –
- Those staying at the Hilton may enter the arena using the first entrance at the corner of the new glass area next to the CatWalk steps, and staff will direct you to the elevators and escalator;
- Those coming from the Hyatt should enter via the Media pass gate at the end of the arena furthest from the Hyatt on High Street directly across from Parking Lot Entrance #2.
- Those parked in Second Level Garage can come in through the entrance on that level.

03/18/24- KHSAA Seeks Fifth Assistant Commissioner (new position)
Assistant Commissioner – Job description and application process.
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA), a private, non-profit entity designated by the Kentucky Board of Education to manage high school sports and sport-activities in the Commonwealth, must fill the position of Assistant Commissioner. This opening is created by an approved expansion of staff to aid in the conduct of high school championships, and the successful candidate should be prepared to begin the position with the close of the 2023-2024 school year.
This opening is a regular, full-time position with a work week of at least 37.5 hours, twelve months a year, and is not an hourly wage position. This position does not offer regular remote work options due to the nature of the business and operational needs of the member schools and the championships.

03/11/2024- Expansion Announced of KHSAA Partnership with ArbiterSports To Include School/Coach Data Management
At its regular meeting in February, the Board heard a report from the Commissioner regarding the KHSAA online data system. The Association has long offered a first-in-class system for its Athletic Directors to manage the vast amount of data related to the athletic program, in particular, the monitoring of the various requirements for coaches. With the landscape continually changing in new and additional requirements, the Association has been reviewing, some formally and some informally, various options for the future of this vital program for a good length of time.
It is not lost on anyone on the staff the value that this service is to the membership. The system encompasses a litany of different tools to manage schedules, scores, rosters, coach data and so much more. We want to thank each of you for your long-time dedication to the two weeks of basketball tournaments. We often talk about our devoted staff of workers and volunteers and how they truly make this the greatest show in hoops! We know most of you have all of this information in various forms but want to be sure we have it in one concise place.

02/22/24- Football Draft Realignment for 2025 through 2026 seasons Released
Football Alignment Update and Opportunity to Play Into a Higher Class and Withdraw from District
TO: Superintendents, Principals, Athletic Directors and Designated Representatives of Football Playing Schools

RE: Update on the Drafting of 2025 and 2026 Football Alignment, Opportunity to Withdraw From District Play or Make Other Notes for Consideration
At its meeting in January, the KHSAA Board of Control discussed and confirmed the parameters surrounding an alignment of teams in football for the 2025 and 2026 playing seasons. This communication is solely about classification and geographic alignment development. The needed information was received from the KDE around the mid part of January, and has been formatted in accordance with the Board’s approved process. Information about the realignment, including drafting maps, is available online on the khsaa.org/football website, by selecting the “Football Alignment/Realignment Information” pull-down menu.

02/12/24 – Board of Control Election Procedures
BOARD OF CONTROL BALLOT – BOARD OF CONTROL ELECTIONS – INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE BALLOT:
- Balloting is ONLY done online for these positions.
- All schools from Basketball Regions 1 to 8, as well as regions 13 to 16 have at least one election in which to ballot. Other schools may disregard this notice if received.
- All non-public schools in Regions 9-16 may vote in the election for the non-public school representative, per state law.
- Balloting was available per the Constitution on or before February 15.
- Only the Principal or Designated Representative may vote. The names on file as verified by the KHSAA website at the time of this ballot distribution are listed on the school directory page at http://khsaa.org/general/resources/member-school-directory/.
- If the wrong individual is listed as the Designated Representative, the correction may be made by anyone with Athletic Director system rights (Principal, AD) prior to the ballot being submitted. For support […]
