Thank you for agreeing to work the 2024 State Swimming & Diving Championships presented by UK HealthCare. Below is the list of your duties and explanations of reporting times (all times Eastern Time zone).

CHECK-IN
Worker check-in is at the side entrance where the athletes/coaches enter (map attached). Please be sure to dress warm if you are at the ticket gate. Staff at check-in will have an event staff badge for you to wear if you don’t already have one.

  • Arrival time, Thursday (Feb 22) – 7:30 AM
    • Navy polo
  • Arrival time, Friday & Saturday (Feb 23-24) – 7:15 AM
    • Friday – Cobalt polo
    • Saturday – Black polo
• Ticket Gate: Kathy Johnston (ALL), Colleen Robertson(FRI/SAT), Rachel Angolia (FRI/SAT), and Kathy Smith (TH)
  • Arrival time, Thursday (Feb 22) – 8:15 AM
  • Arrival time, Friday & Saturday (Feb 23-24) – 8:00 AM
  • Thursday Diving will open gates 9 AM for boys and 3 PM for girls.
  • Friday Boys’ Swimming will open gates at 9:30 AM for prelims and 5:00 PM for finals. Saturday will be the same.
  • Swimming has limited capacity, so we will use a ticketing system for those in line. The maximum purchase per person in line is two.
  • Butch Cope will be with you at the gate and will assist in the distribution of tickets. All sales will be through the box office iPad provided for you.
  • Please allow time to park and walk into the facility.

  • Arrival time, Thursday (Feb 22) – 7:30 AM
  • Arrival time, Friday & Saturday (Feb 23-24) – 7:15 AM
  • We will have an electronic list on a laptop for you to use when people check-in.
  • Volunteers/timers will be given an event staff badge.
  • Officials should have on white polo.
  • Workers give a KHSAA Event Staff badge.
  • Media members will get a yellow media vest.
• Public Address Announcers: Seth Boone (TH), Wayne Kraus (FRI/SAT)
  • Arrive by 8:30 AM each day
  • Connor Link in our office will be assisting you 
• Deck Marshals: Frank McGowan (FRI/SAT), Rick Bridges (ALL), Bruce Lynch (ALL) –
  • Arrive by 7:30 AM each day
  • You will be on deck monitoring coaches passes and athletes on deck.
• Back Hallway Security: Bobby Day (TH/FRI), Ben Zimmerman (SAT)
  • Arrive by 7:30 AM each day
  • You will be monitoring the back hallway between the TeamIP booth and the team check-in area.
  • Only swimmers and coaches (with wristbands) will be able to go between the TeamIP booth and the deck. All others must return to the top.
