10/28/16 – KHSAA State Soccer Tournament Continues Saturday With Quarterfinal Action in Lexington

The 2016 KHSAA State Soccer Tournament continues tomorrow morning with quarterfinal action at Paul Laurence Dunbar HS and Lafayette HS in Lexington. Four games will take place at each site, with the first games of the day scheduled for 12 p.m. and the final contest set for 6 p.m. To view the official championship program for the 2016 KHSAA State Soccer Tournament, visit

12:00 p.m. – BOYS – Louisville Collegiate vs. Covington Catholic
2:00 p.m. – GIRLS – Simon Kenton vs. Lawrence County
4:00 p.m. – GIRLS – Greenwood vs. Owensboro Catholic
6:00 p.m. – BOYS – South Laurel vs. Paul Laurence Dunbar

The semifinals and finals of the state tournament will move to Bryan Station HS, with the girls’ semifinal games taking place on Wednesday, Nov. 2, followed by the boys’ semifinal games on Thursday, Nov. 3. Game times for the semifinals will be 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on both days. The championship matches will be played on Saturday, Nov. 5 with the girls’ title game set for 5 p.m., followed by the boys’ championship at 7 p.m.

The semifinals and finals will be webcast live through the NFHS Network (, with links available at Subscription plans for the NFHS Network are available for $9.95 a month. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association was organized in 1917 and is the agency designated by the Kentucky Department of Education to manage high school athletics in the Commonwealth.
