The 2023-24 KHSAA state championship season will kick off with the 2023 Leachman Buick•GMC•Cadillac Golf State Championships presented by UK HealthCare. The multi-week event will begin Sept. 25-27 with first-round competition at three separate sites, including Calvert City Country Club (Regions 1-4), the Willows at Kenton County Golf Courses in Independence (Regions 5-8) and Winchester Country Club (Regions 9-12).

For the 18th consecutive season, the event will conclude at Bowling Green Country Club, where the girls’ finals will run Oct. 2-4 and the boys’ finals will take place Oct. 5-7.

Tickets are required for all spectators at each round of competition and are available online only at khsaatickets.org. There will be no on-site cash or credit card sales, and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance at a discounted price to expedite the admission process.

The KHSAA will utilize Golf Genius for tournament scoring for the third year in a row, with one player from each group entering scores from a mobile device after each hole. Live scores entered by the players will be considered unofficial, as players will be required to finalize their round in the official scoring area following the completion of 18 holes.

About the Kentucky High School Athletic Association

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association was organized in 1917 and is the agency designated by the Kentucky Department of Education to manage high school athletics in the Commonwealth. The Association is a voluntary nonprofit 501(c)3 organization made up of 290 member schools, both public and non-public. The KHSAA awards 229 state championships to 59 teams and 178 individuals in 13 sports and six sport-activities, funds catastrophic insurance coverage for its more than 109,000 rostered member school student-athletes, provides coaching education and sports safety programs for more than 12,000 coaches and licenses and facilitates the distribution of training material for over 4,000 contest officials.
