At its May meeting, the KHSAA Board of Control approved a recommended revision to the wrestling postseason dates in response to the availability of the state championship venue.

2024-25 Important Dates

  • Oct. 15 – First Practice
  • Nov. 25 – First Contest
  • Feb. 14-15 – Girls’ Regions
  • Feb. 21-22 – Boys’ Regions
  • Feb. 27 – Girls’ State Tournament
  • Feb. 28-March 1 – Boys’ State Tournament

This is also the second year of the initial two-year commitment to hold the girls’ and boys’ state tournaments on separate days at the same venue in the same weekend. The structure of the state tournament schedule will continue to be evaluated but will ensure that the girls’ event is on par with the boys’ event in terms of priority, venue and coaching resource allocation. The Board of Control approved the state tournament dates for the next three years at the May meeting, with Alltech Arena hosting the championships on Feb. 26-28, 2026 and Feb. 25-27, 2027.

KHSAA Agreement with FloSports and OPC Bundle Basics

The KHSAA has signed an agreement with FloSports (TrackWrestling) which will result in savings to our wrestling schools for the complete suite of services they provide. This standardization of platforms and services will elevate all wrestling programs to new and expanded opportunities at a lower cost than the sum of those previous services.

This agreement allows for a new pricing structure for its Trackwrestling and OPC software, which will feature a flat, up-front fee without additional add-ons. The new bundle includes the OPC weight management system, access to the Trackwrestling statistics program and unlimited use of the Trackwrestling event management software for sanctioned in-season and postseason tournaments. The bundle is priced at $100 for boys and an additional $25 for girls.

What’s included?

  • Each school has access to the OPC weight management system – $75 value
  • Each school has access to the Trackwrestling statistics program – $50 value
  • Unlimited use of Trackwrestling event management software for sanctioned in-season tournaments at no additional cost – approx. $100+ value per event
  • Use of Trackwrestling event management software for all postseason tournaments including enhanced support for setup and execution at no additional cost – $75+ value per event
  • Free NWCA membership which includes full access to a comprehensive technique library, student-athlete leadership course, coaching development tools and resources, FREE CEO Leadership Academies for boys/girls high school coaches, and an awards/recognition program – $50 value

The OPC Bundle provides over $250 in value for the price of $100 per school for boys’ teams and $25 per school for girls’ teams.

How does it work?

  • Each school pays $100 for boys and $25 for girls.
  • Access is given to each school for the OPC and statistics program
  • States that bundle boys get free Trackwrestling event management software usage for boys AND girls
    • Events are ordered normally and invoices for those events will not carry a charge
    • Dual or individual events
    • Each school can run unlimited sanctioned season events at no additional cost
    • Postseason qualifiers and State Championships are included

What are the benefits?

  • One payment for the full suite of products
  • Keeps all events, stats and results on one platform
  • More results available to use in seeding and statistics
  • Easy access to view rosters, schedules, results, brackets, stats, and more all in one place
