Thank you for agreeing to work the 2026 State Swimming & Diving Championships presented by UK HealthCare. Below is the list of your duties and explanations of reporting times (all times Eastern Time zone).

CHECK-IN
Worker check-in is at the side entrance where the athletes/coaches enter (see map). Please be sure to dress warm if you are at the ticket gate. Staff at check-in will have an event staff badge for you to wear if you don’t already have one.

PARKING

MEALS 

A box lunch & dinner will be provided each day. 

WORKERS ASSIGNMENTS

  • KHSAA Staff
    • Arrival time, Friday & Saturday (Feb 20-21) – 7:00 AM
      • Friday – Gray
      • Saturday – Black
  • Ticket Gate: Colleen Robertson (FRI/SAT), Diane Grifitt (FRI/SAT), Meredith Bordas (SAT)
    • Arrival time, Friday & Saturday (Feb 20-21) – 8:00 AM
    • Each day, gates open at 9:30 AM for swimming prelims, open for diving at approximately 1:00 PM (we have to clear the stadium first), and again at 5:45 PM for finals (we have to clear the stadium again). 
    • Swimming has a limited capacity of 500. UK staff will help monitor capacity numbers at the entrance. The maximum purchase per person in line is two.
    • Sarah Bridenbaugh and Kara Howard will be with you at the gate to assist as needed. All sales will be through the box office iPad/credit card reader provided for you.
    • Please allow time to park and walk into the facility.
  • Worker/Official/Pass Gate Check-in: Marsha Day & Jenny Elder
    • Arrival time, Friday & Saturday (Feb 20-21) – 7:15 AM
    • We will have an electronic list on a laptop for you to use when people check-in.
    • Volunteers/timers & any deck workers will receive an event staff badge.
    • Officials should have on white polo/khakis (no need for badge)
    • Media members will get a yellow media vest.
    • All will receive a gift upon check-in. 
  • Public Address Announcers: Seth Boone & Wayne Kraus
    • Arrival time, Friday & Saturday (Feb 20-21) – 8:00 AM
    • Wayne will handle all swimming announcements
    • Seth will handle all diving announcements
    • Brian Milam in our office will be assisting you 
  • Deck Marshals: Frank McGowan, Rick Bridges & Bruce Lynch
    • Arrival time, Friday & Saturday (Feb 20-21) – 7:15 AM
    • Frank will monitor the door onto the deck, checking passes.
    • Rick/Bruce will be deck monitors and assist with awards if needed.
    • When sessions end, all 3 will help clear the stands for the next session.
  • Back Hallway Security: Bobby Day
    • Arrive by 7:30 AM each day
    • You will be monitoring the back hallway between the TeamIP booth and the team check-in area.
    • Only swimmers and coaches (with wristbands) will be able to go between the TeamIP booth and the deck. All others must return to the top.
  • Awards Presentations: Sarah Bridenbaugh (FRI) & Meredith Bordas (SAT)
    • Assist at the ticket gate during swim prelims.
    • Award presentations will begin at the end of diving and continue throughout the finals session
    • Organize awards by events. An awards schedule will be available in the trophy area.
    • Help line up athletes once results are finalized.
    • Assist with awards presentations throughout finals each day.
