08/16/2024- KHSAA School Directory Available via ArbiterLive
As the ongoing transition to ArbiterSports for KHSAA data management continues, the KHSAA member school directory and information page should be considered the authentic source for up-to-date information about KHSAA member schools: https://ly.khsaa.org/q2ma Data shown by this report is managed by each individual school, including coaching staffs and rosters. The data mirrors the ArbiterLive page of each school, and inquiries regarding content should be directed to the member school. All data can be found on the ArbiterSports mobile app, available on both the App Store for iOS users and the Google Play Store for Android users. Scores and statistics of KHSAA varsity team sports (baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, lacrosse, soccer, softball, volleyball) can still be found on the KHSAA/Riherds Scoreboard. For a shortcut to view a particular school’s Teams page on ArbiterLive, select a school from the first collapsable menu on the More07/21/24- Coverage Mechanics Emphasis and NFHS Support Documents for 2024 Football Season
Officials and coaches are free to check out this resource for 2024 special rules information.
Officials should note only minimal changes to on-field mechanics as covered in the Seven-person Officials short presentation on this page.

05/07/24- Reminders about Academic All State and Triple Threat Awards
As you approach awards nights, graduation nights, and the end-of-year festivities, we wanted to remind you about two programs that have existed for many years and yet are underutilized according to our data logs.
Started in the mid-1980s, the Academic All-State program, presented by UK HealthCare, recognized players who have maintained a cumulative 3.25 GPA (converted to a four-point scale) as honorable mention Academic All-State and players who have maintained a cumulative 3.75 GPA (converted to a four-point scale) as first Team Academic All-State.

04/09/24- KHSAA Partners with Advance NIL for Comprehensive Education Effort
Lexington, KY [4/9/2024] – Advance NIL (ADVANCE), an industry leader in Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) Education, Life Skills Programming and Athlete Development, has partnered with The Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) to provide its award-winning NIL education and advisory platform to Kentucky athletic directors (ADs), coaches, student-athletes and their families.
“We greatly value the education ADVANCE is able to provide to our high school athletes in today’s NIL marketplace. While our students are strictly precluded from accepting NIL (or pay for play), representing their school or for his school play, we also know that they are able by statute to be involved in NIL once permitted by the collegiate governing bodies,” said KHSAA Commissioner, Julian Tackett. “Education is the key to helping these students avoid mistakes related to NIL, and this suite of products will really help our student-athletes make wise decisions.”
As part of the agreement, ADVANCE will provide support for ADs, […]
04/02/24- Advisory Concerning Outdoor Sports, Monday April 8
We received late this week, some reminders from our partners at the Kentucky Department for Public Health regarding the Solar Eclipse on Monday. Each school and district will have to make its own decision regarding activity, but there are cautions that should be exercised during outdoor athletic competitions on Monday, April 8.Please see the information they have provided to our office and therefore to our member schools. There is no mandatorily directed action, but clearly, any outdoor sports (including simulating warm-up activities) should not occur until after the period of totality that is visible in your specific area.
There are several ways to see the anticipated path including websites at https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com/kentucky-2024-eclipse and https://www.weather.gov/lmk/eclipse_2024.

03/11/2024- Expansion Announced of KHSAA Partnership with ArbiterSports To Include School/Coach Data Management
At its regular meeting in February, the Board heard a report from the Commissioner regarding the KHSAA online data system. The Association has long offered a first-in-class system for its Athletic Directors to manage the vast amount of data related to the athletic program, in particular, the monitoring of the various requirements for coaches. With the landscape continually changing in new and additional requirements, the Association has been reviewing, some formally and some informally, various options for the future of this vital program for a good length of time.
It is not lost on anyone on the staff the value that this service is to the membership. The system encompasses a litany of different tools to manage schedules, scores, rosters, coach data and so much more. From that data, such projects as stats, results, RPI, Title IX analysis and so many things are derived and expanded upon. This all-in-one package has served the membership well […]
