02/15/15 – Swimming and Diving State Meet Information

Information for the 2015 KHSAA Swimming and Diving State Meet has been posted on the KHSAA website. Coach and Participant Instructions, Hotel Information, and a Meet Time Schedule can be found by going to the following link:

By order of the University and State Fire Marshall we will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, coaches, fans, officials, and workers. Some of these precautions will include the following:

• All Emergency Exits will be marked and unobstructed at all times
• Tickets will not be sold beyond the seating capacity of 500
• After a review of the Time Schedule and the crowds from previous meets it has been determined that the boys’ meet will again take place first  
• The pool deck will be monitored throughout the meet to make sure that only properly credentialed, coaches, officials, workers, media, and participants are on deck
• During the diving sessions filming for All-American consideration will take place on the opposite side of the deck from previous years next to the judging. Those filming will be properly credentialed and will film in a designated area when their student is performing his or her dive
• Certain areas of the deck will be roped off to maintain a clear pathway to all Emergency Exits
• Participants of the opposite gender may be asked to remain in designated team areas at certain times during the meet
