FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 17, 2018

The Kentucky High School Scoreboard Radio Show begins its 18th season on-air Friday night at 10 p.m. (ET), with Rick Shaw and Donnie Adkins recapping all of the night’s action from the WLAP studio in Lexington. Launched in 2001 by Shaw and former KHSAA Commissioner Louis Stout, the network has grown from 12 stations during its inaugural season to over 40 in 2018.

The show will air locally on WLAP 630 AM, with a complete list of stations listed below. A podcast of each show will be made available for on-demand listening at https://wlap.iheart.com/content/2017-06-06-on-demand-podcasts/.

About the Kentucky High School Athletic Association
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association was organized in 1917 and is the agency designated by the Kentucky Department of Education to manage high school athletics in the Commonwealth. The Association is a voluntary nonprofit 501(c)3 organization made up of 280 member schools both public and private. The KHSAA sanctions 44 state championships in 13 sports and 5 sport-activities, licenses and trains over 4,000 officials, provides catastrophic insurance for its more than 70,000 member school student-athletes, as well as overseeing coaching education and sports safety programs.
