October 23, 2023 Soccer Working

Thank you for agreeing to work at the 2023 KHSAA Soccer Championships Presented by UK HealthCare. Below is the list of your duties and explanations of reporting times (all times Eastern Time zone).

EVENT DETAILS 

• Date: October 25, 26, and 28
• Location: Lafayette High School
• 401 Reed Lane, Lexington 40503

CHECK-IN

• Report to the front gate. If you have your KHSAA Event Staff badge, please bring it.
• Any who can stay and assist load-out will be compensated for the extra time.
• Report according to the times identified below for each respective position.

WHAT TO WEAR

• Dress comfortably and warm according to the conditions. 

PARKING

• Please plan on parking in general parking as identified in this map of the facility: https://khsaa.org/soccer/maplafayettehs.pdf
• If you do not plan to be there all day, please park in the General Parking lot. 

MEALS 

• Meals will be provided at this event through the concession stand. Please see Chad or Darren for a meal ticket to be used to redeem the meal. 

WORKERS ASSIGNMENTS

• TICKETS/ENTRY
  • Kathy Johnston, Ralph Compton, Janet Compton, and Byron Wilson  
    • All will assist fans in entering the facility. Some will have the box office units and others will just be redeeming tickets and/or checking credentials.

    • Arrival time each day will be 2:30 p.m.
• MEDIA/WORKERS/OFFICIALS/TEAM DROP OFF/PASS GATE
  • Jeremy Ison, Frank LaBoone (Wednesday and Thursday), and Patrick Nelson (Saturday) 
    • Pass Gate – We will be admitting the AD, Principal, and Superintendent if they have the KHSAA-issued ID card.
    • Anniversary Teams – will be sent complimentary tickets for entry, but might come to you for details about the ceremony. You can radio for Chad Collins each time a team arrives. 
    • Media – Connor Link will have a list for you. If any are not on the list, radio Connor to check before allowing entry.
    • Arrival time each day will be 2:30 p.m.
• FIELD ACCESS/ON-FIELD CHECK-IN/FIELD CONTROL
  • Jim Long (On-Field Check-In), Toby Tomazic (Field Control), Ariea King (Field Access)(Wednesday and Thursday), Bill Bruner (Field Access)(Saturday), and George Huffman (Field Access)
    • Ensure communication with the press box on substitutions
    • Restrict access to the field to properly credentialed individuals
• TEAM ATTENDANTS
  • Nick Adkins (Game 1 Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday), Lewis Hale (Game 1 Wednesday), Kara Howard (Game 1 Thursday, Game 2 Saturday), Jason Jones (Game 2 Wednesday and Thursday, Game 1 Saturday), Cassidy Moore (Game 2 Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday)
    • Assist the teams with any questions or needs.
    • Ensure rosters are complete and proper pronunciation of students is communicated to the press box.
    • Acquire All-Tournament Team members following each contest.
    • Arrival time for Game 1 Attendants each day will be 2:30 p.m.
    • Arrival time for Game 1 Attendants each day will be 5:30 p.m.
• PRESSBOX STAFF
  • Nick Maxwell (PA)(Wednesday and Thursday), Brad Morgan (PA)(Saturday), David Dawson (Clock and Assist PA), Price Combs (Spotter), Jake Most (Stats)(Wednesday and Thursday), and Ted McCoart (Stats)(Saturday)
    • Announce calls corporate announcements, and awards.
    • Identify substitutes and key playmakers.
    • Track stats throughout the tournament.  
    • Arrival time each day will be 3:00 p.m.
• KHSAA Staff
  • Arrive by 2:00 p.m. each day
  • Shirts: Tonal Red (Wednesday), Tonal Cobalt (Thursday), and Tonal Navy/Navy Longsleeve (Saturday)
