Congratulations to all schools who participated in the Regional Competitions last week.  For those schools who have teams advancing to the State Meet, please read all of the following information and utilize the links below for guidence.

A plethora of information can be found on the http://khsaa.org/sports/spring/track/ website under “State Meet Information and Instructions” including maps.  All entries and results can be found under “2013 State/Region meet Entries/Results” tab.

All teams must be dropped off at the Warnock Street side of the field hockey field.  Buses may stop long enough to unload.  Bus parking is at Pap Johns Cardinal Stadium, as is the free parking for cars.

Team Check In will be on the Warnock Street side of the field hockey field.  Tent City will be on the field hockey.  Coaches will be the only person allowed to pick up team packets.  Please check your team instructions http://khsaa.org/track/statetrackinformation.pdf for time that check ins will begin.  On Saturday, it is very important that the 1A schools be diligent and timely at the end of the meet in order to allow time for the 3A schools to arrive and begin.  The KHSAA staff will be available to help expedite this change over.

Weigh Ins for Throws Implements has been added to the meet time schedule – http://khsaa.org/track/2013/statetrackmeetschedule.pdf.  Implements will be provided for throwers, but athletes may bring their own implements which will require inspection before during the listed inspection times at the throws area.

The Hampton Inn on Phillips Lane has hotel rooms availabe.  Please contact them directly and let them know you are with the KHSAA State Track Championship – 502-366-8100.

Advanced tickets are available at http://khsaa2013track.eventbrite.com/.

Awards will be in the infield this year. Awards will be announced throughout the meet and attempts will be made to gather as compeitiors for the presentation will be made, but all are aware that competitors may be busy competiting or preparing for other events.

We are still in need of volunteers for all meet sessions.  If you have team members who did not qualify, or your team is staying for all trhee sessions and are availbale to help, please send me a list of names and the meet the students or adults are able to help out – apassafiume@khsaa.org.

If you have seniors that may be missing graduation to participate at the state meet, we will be glad to honor them at the State Championship.

We will continue to update you with pertinent information.  Please read over the materials available and contact me with questions.

Thanks and Good Luck to all tis coming weekend.
