6/11/24 – State Softball Weekend #2 Worker Assignments and Information

Thank you for agreeing to work the second weekend of the 2024 Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Softball State Tournament presented by UK HealthCare. Below is the list of your duties and explanations of reporting times (all times Eastern Time zone).

EVENT DETAILS

TEAM ATTENDANTS

Heather Cavitt, Diane Griffitt

• Arrive by 1:00 PM on Friday and 4:30 PM on Saturday 
• Greet team at the front gate, escort them to the warm-up area, collect line-up cards from coaches, and coordinate their warm-up times/areas.
• Assist with getting teams to the proper dugout (the top team in the bracket is home and uses the 3B Dugout). 
• Review timeline with coaches (infield, anthem protocols per grid)
• Assist with securing postgame recognitions (All-tourney, MVP, etc.)
  • After each game on Friday, the losing team will get 2 all-tournament team members, 21 medals, and a Semifinalist trophy. 
  • After the championship game on Saturday, the runner-up will get 3 all-tournament team members, 21 medals, and a Runner-up trophy. The state champion will get 2 all-tournament team members, 1 most valuable player, 21 medals, and a State Champion trophy. 
• Monitoring of dugout. Only 30 total in the dugout. Only 21 can be in uniform and participate in on-field warm-ups, etc.
• Monitoring of media in camera wells (not in or on the dugout)
• Monitor the dugout for any damage
• Assist with Media vest return
• The attendant with the first base dugout should be advised that we will bring officials through the side gate and not the dugout. 

TICKET GATE

Rick Bridges, Kathy Johnston, James Webb 

• Arrive by 1:30 PM on Friday and 5:00 PM on Saturday. 
• Operate the box office and help desk (troubleshoot) any issues at the ticket gate.
• UK will provide 2 workers that will be the redeemers of tickets.
• The three of you should really be the ticket sellers (if any) and the help desk should fans have any issues. 

PA ANNOUNCER 

Danny Perkins 

• Arrive by 2:00 PM on Friday, and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. 
• Coordinate all timing (including infield warm-up), announcements and promotions schedule.

Technical Director

Tracy Spickard

• Arrive by 2:00 PM on Friday, and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
• Facilitate timing/coordination between PA Announcer and video board operator in regard to promos, etc.   

PRESS BOX COORDINATOR 

John Campbell

• Arrive by 1:30 PM on Friday, and 5:00 PM on Saturday. 
• Make sure media have everything they need (coordinate locations for radio stations, extra media members, wifi accounts, overflow media, copies of lineups, stats, etc.)

STATS/SCOREKEEPER 

Mike Reeves

• Arrive by 2:00 PM on Friday, and 5:30 PM on Saturday.

OFFICIAL’S COORDINATOR

• Escort officials to the locker room
• Escort officials on & off field
