Thank you for agreeing to work the second weekend of the 2024 Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Softball State Tournament presented by UK HealthCare. Below is the list of your duties and explanations of reporting times (all times Eastern Time zone).

EVENT DETAILS
Date: June 14 and 15
Location: University of Kentucky’s John Cropp Stadium

TEAM ATTENDANTS

Heather Cavitt, Diane Griffitt

  • Arrive by 1:00 PM on Friday and 4:30 PM on Saturday 
  • Greet team at the front gate, escort them to the warm-up area, collect line-up cards from coaches, and coordinate their warm-up times/areas.
  • Assist with getting teams to the proper dugout (the top team in the bracket is home and uses the 3B Dugout). 
  • Review timeline with coaches (infield, anthem protocols per grid)
  • Assist with securing postgame recognitions (All-tourney, MVP, etc.)

Current Alignment – Softball

Softball Working

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association shall sponsor postseason competition in fastpitch softball for girls, provided that there is sufficient interest of the membership and such is approved by the Board of Control. The Commissioner shall divide the state into geographic sections with the approval of the Board of Control. The entire alignment shall be reviewed when the Board of Control conducts a realignment related to basketball. In the interim, newly added or deleted programs will be handled on a case by case basis by the Commissioner’s office.
As of August 15, 2012, the alignment for girls’ fast pitch softball is as follows:

District 1 – Carlisle County, Fulton City, Fulton County, Hickman County
District 2 – McCracken County, Paducah Tilghman, St. Mary
District 3 – Ballard Memorial, Graves County, Mayfield
