11/3/15 – Final Opportunity to Edit Fall 2015 Sport Coaching Rosters

As part of the Annual Title IX and Participation Reports, the coaching roster is reviewed and totals are placed on the T35 report form. Though these totals are not a conclusive indicator of Title IX compliance (or lack of compliance) in any way, they do represent a snapshot in time to help schools validate the data that has been entered throughout the year.

As seasons end, and the inevitable coaching turnover and replacement begins, schools have expressed concerns that for the fall and winter sports, the data presented on the T35 form for the April 30 reports is not accurate in the case of a coaching replacement. 

Therefore, this is the final week of the 2015-16 school year to ensure the accuracy of the coaching lists (head and assistant, paid and unpaid) that are on the KHSAA school database listing. At the close of business on Friday, November 6, a snapshot of the coaches file will be recorded for the sports of Golf, Field Hockey, Cross Country, Soccer, Volleyball and Football and the Sport Activity of Competitive Cheer. All changes to the data must be made at this time in order to be reflected on the reports for the current year. The totals as of that time will be used for the T35 forms.

In this manner, schools may begin on Monday, November 9, making any changes to coaching rosters for next year without fear of rendering the data on the annual report incorrect.
