The Leachman Buick GMC Cadillac boys’ golf state tournament presented by UK HealthCare has come to a close with St. Xavier winning the team title and McCracken County senior Landon Hunt claiming the individual championship.

Hunt was at 3-under entering Saturday and did even better in the final round, finishing with a tournament-best 8-under 136.

St. Xavier wraps up their unprecedented 22^nd boys’ golf championship with a two-day total of 578 (+2), holding off the 3-time defending state champion Madison Central (585, +9). The Tigers were led by Brody Alexander, Luc Kelty, and Will Stuart finished individually 2-3-4 behind Landon Hunt.

About the Kentucky High School Athletic Association
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association was organized in 1917 and is the agency designated by the Kentucky Department of Education to manage high school athletics in the Commonwealth. The Association is a voluntary nonprofit 501(c)3 organization made up of 280 member schools both public and non-public.
