Required File Format Each school shall submit its official logo in one of the following professional vector formats: Preferred SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) Acceptable Alternatives Adobe Illustrator (.AI) Encapsulated PostScript (.EPS) Portable Document Format (.PDF), provided the PDF contains editable vector artwork A submitted PDF must: Contain true vector artwork (paths and curves), not merely a raster image embedded in a PDF. Be suitable for professional editing in Adobe Illustrator or comparable vector-editing software. Preserve all vector objects, colors, and artwork without flattening. Have all fonts converted to outlines/curves or include embedded fonts where licensing permits. PDF files exported from Adobe Illustrator or other professional vector applications are preferred. PDF files created from Adobe Photoshop or other raster-editing software are acceptable only if they contain genuine vector artwork rather than a bitmap image. Raster image formats, including PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, or screenshots, will not be accepted as official logo submissions.
Official School Logo Submission Standards Purpose
To ensure consistent, high-quality reproduction across all KHSAA media, each member school shall submit its official logo(s) in a professional vector format. Submitted artwork will be reviewed and approved before being added to the KHSAA digital asset library.
These files may be used for, but are not limited to:
Large-format LED video boards and scoreboards
Championship venue displays
Livestream and television graphics
KHSAA website and digital publications
Social media
Printed programs and promotional materials
Event signage and banners
Merchandise and apparel
Future digital and print applications
Required File Format
Each school shall submit its official logo in one of the following professional vector formats:

Artwork Requirements
Submitted artwork shall:
Be fully vector-based.
Be scalable to any size without loss of quality.
Include all fonts converted to outlines or curves.
Contain no linked or embedded raster images except where an intentional photographic element is part of the official logo.
Have transparent artwork with no background box or fill unless it is an intentional part of the official logo.
Be free of watermarks, shadows, glows, or special effects unless those elements are part of the school's official branding.
Be centered within the artboard.
Be cleanly constructed with no unnecessary clipping paths or hidden objects.
Color Standards
Artwork should preserve the school's official branding colors.
When available, schools should include:
Pantone (PMS) color specifications
CMYK values
RGB values
HEX color values
These values help ensure consistent reproduction across digital displays, print production, apparel, and signage.
Recommended Logo Variations
Schools are encouraged to provide separate vector files for each official variation, when available:
Primary full-color logo
Mascot or symbol only
Wordmark (school name only)
Horizontal layout
Vertical layout
One-color (black)
Reverse/white version
Providing these variations allows the KHSAA to use the most appropriate artwork for websites, scoreboards, publications, social media, and event graphics.
File Naming Convention
Please use the following naming format:

If submitting a PDF:

Quality Standards
Submitted artwork should be suitable for professional reproduction at any size, including:
Large-format LED scoreboards
Stadium video displays
Arena ribbon boards
Television broadcast graphics
High-resolution print production
Championship signage
Digital publications
Mobile applications
Website graphics
Promotional merchandise
Files should require no significant redrawing or recreation by KHSAA staff before use.
Ownership and Usage
By submitting artwork, the member school certifies that it owns or has authorization to use the submitted logo and grants the KHSAA a perpetual, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, resize, crop, recolor (while maintaining the school's brand identity), convert to other file formats, and otherwise adapt the artwork for KHSAA-related publications, broadcasts, websites, events, and promotional materials.

Submission Note
If a school does not possess its logo in an approved vector format, it should obtain a professionally recreated vector version from its original designer or a qualified graphic artist prior to submission. KHSAA reserves the right to reject artwork that does not meet these standards or that cannot be reproduced at professional quality.
