Thank you for agreeing to work at the 2026 State Baseball Tournament, presented by UK HealthCare.  Below are details that should assist you.

Dates: June 4-6
Site: Lexington Legends Field
Address: 207 Legends Lane, Lexington
Parking: Turn into the main parking lot and circle around the stadium, and park in the lot on the first base side.
Check-in: Please enter the teams/media/workers pass gate on the third base side of the stadium.

Dates: June 12-13
Site: Kentucky Proud Park
Address: 510 Wildcat Ct., Lexington
Parking: Upon turning onto Wildcat Court from College Way, turn right to park in the purple lot.  
Check-In: Please check in at the Media/Team Check-Gate, located on the third-base side of the stadium and marked by UK signs reading “VIP Entrance”.

Staffing Assignments/Responsibilities:
Pass-Gate
Jeanie Molloy and Marilyn Mitchell (June 4-6; June 12-13) – Arrive 8 a.m. on June 4.

  • Check-in Staff, Teams, Vendors, Board, Media, Umpires
  • Disseminate Workers/Media Gift
  • Disseminate Media Vests-Log Vest Number for tracking and return.
  • Disseminate Team Party Passes for Teams – 21 players in uniform admitted, 15 team party passes (to be used by any non-uniformed individuals: head coach, assistant, trainer/managers, school administrators).
  • Comp Admissions – Accepting KHSAA Commonwealth Card, BOC Badge.  No coaches or officials’ cards.
  • Provide gate counts for attendance (comps, media, workers).  No need to count teams/team parties, as that is built into the attendance figure.
  • Meal Ticket distribution
  • Line-up Card distribution

Ticket Gate
Bruce Lynch, Casey Fisk, Donna Bumps, Chris Bumps (all days) – Arrive 8:30 a.m. on June 4.

  • Box Office Credit Card Walk-up Sales
  • Armband All-Day Ticket Patrons
  • Assist Legends/UK Staff with Ticket Validation

Umpires Staff Liaisons
Andy Strain, Keith Morgan, Brent Bradley, Scot Allison (all days) – Arrive 8:30 a.m. on June 4.

  • Manages the Umpires Locker Room for the Crew
  • Assist with entering and exiting crews

Team Attendants
Frank McGowan, Fred Brown, Ken Craig (All Days), Jimmy Powell (June 4-6) – Arrive 8:30 a.m. on June 4.

  • Assist with getting teams to the proper dugout (the top team in the bracket is home and uses the 3B Dugout)
  • Review timeline with coaches (infield, anthem protocols per grid)
  • Assist with securing postgame recognitions (All-tourney, MVP, etc.)
  • Monitoring of the dugout.  Only 30 total in the dugout.  Only 21 can be in uniform and participate in on-field warm-ups, etc.
  • Monitoring of media in camera wells (not in the dugout)
  • Monitor the dugout for any damage
  • Assist with the Media vest return
  • Assist with ticket validation as needed

Press Box
KHSAA Administrative Staff: Joe Angolia; PA: David Dawson; Press Box Attendant/Director:  Andre Foushee; Media: Brian Milam (All Days); Auxillary Media at Legends – Jackson Brown

  • Work with Prepspin (William Warfield) with the streaming crew
  • Work with TPG staff in coordination with promotions per the provided grid/scripts
  • Work with Legends/UK staff on the playing of music, videos, and scoreboard operation
  • Monitor the media work area.
  • Assist with vest return

Media Work Area – Legends Field Only
Jackson Brown (June 4-6) – Arrive 10 a.m.

  • Monitor Media Work Area

Web Streaming

Miscellaneous
Each worker will receive a meal ticket good for use at the concession stand.  Please dress comfortably, and if you have one, bring your KHSAA-issued event badge.  If you do not have the season-long badge, see the KHSAA Staff at the team/media/worker check-in gate.
