FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 18, 2017

The KHSAA Annual Meeting of Delegates will be held Wednesday, September 20th at the Lexington Center, starting at 8 a.m. with three information and continuous improvement sessions for athletic administrators. The day’s agenda begins with a workshop on Title IX education, followed by presentations on services for member schools (Arbiter Sports, NFHS Network School Broadcast Program, and Huddle/GoFan Ticketing), and a segment on Emergency Action Plans by UK Sports Medicine.

The business meeting is slated to begin at 11:45 a.m. in Bluegrass Ballroom 2, with only one proposal up for consideration at this year’s meeting. The proposal put forth would amend Bylaw 23 to remove the second scrimmage restriction from football teams that have their first regular season game during week 0 (NFHS Week 7), and allow those teams that play during Week 0 to play a second scrimmage, with said scrimmage to be limited to allowable contact per the acclimation and acclimatization requirements.

Each KHSAA member school is represented by one delegate at the Annual Meeting that can vote on all proposals for change to KHSAA rules and regulations.
