03/26/12 – NFHS Decertifies Reebok Vector TLS Bat – 33″

We received this communication from the NFHS Office today ….please pass the information along…

This makes the Marucci CAT5 33″ bat and the Reebok Vector TLS bat as the only two at this time that have been decertified and not legal for play.

Date: Monday, March 26, 2012

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has advised us that the BBCOR decertification process has been implemented for the Reebok Vector TLS 33-inch model.

Effective immediately and until further notice, this bat (Reebok Vector TLS 33″ length) should be considered a non-compliant bat and subject to NFHS Baseball Rules 4-1-3b and 7-4-1a.

This reminder to all umpires and assigners …the NFHS Part II Exam is now online through midnight, Sunday April 1…please don’t wait until the last minute to complete this requirement…Log on to the KHSAA website under the officials login to begin.

The DRAFT of the performance list and roster by school for 1A, 2A and 3A are posted on the website – http://www.khsaa.org/track/2012/index.html.     Changes may occur as coaches and official’s double check both the performance list and the roster by school for accuracy.  An email will be sent once all changes are made and performance list are finalized.   Please check for your student athletes.  Let us know immediately of any necessary changes (i.e. misspelling of names, incorrect grade or incorrect school) by contacting us at trresults@khsaa.org.   The deadline for these changes is 10:00am Monday, May 14.    Date and Times: The event schedule can be found at http://www.khsaa.org/track/2012/statetrackmeetschedule.pdf.     Tickets: Advanced tickets can be purchased at http://2012khsaastatetrackandfield.eventbrite.com/. Click on the link below to avoid long lines at the gate and save time with the convenience of ordering now with your credit card.

Welcome!      We have just finished a great  season of wrestling with the championships in a brand new home! I’m already working on next years State Championships and with that comes a new method of communication between our office and the member schools. When our Boss first told us to create a Blog, I panicked. I’m not a writer. But here we go with my first post! When I was teaching, I had to explain to my students the Kentucky Department of Educations terms: Novice, Apprentice, Proficient and Distinguished. I told my students that they should think in terms of an imaginary trip and how to get from here to the Beach. A “Novice” writer would get you lost. An “Apprentice” writer will get you there, but it will take days and you will hate the trip. A “Proficient” writer will be like MapQuest, they will get you there in the shortest […]
