01/19/23 – NFHS Coach Diving Course Required for Diving Coaches
This is a reminder that all KHSAA schools that have student-athletes competing in diving, must complete the NFHS “Coaching Diving” course. This course is free and 100% online and is required.
This course was developed in association with the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association and USA Diving. It assists athletes with learning and coaches with teaching the introductory skills of diving. This valuable course also showcases useful drills and diving progressions, while also reviewing critical diving safety information. A great deal of success for divers comes from confidence, a skill that can be developed and nurtured by a dedicated teacher/coach.
Currently, this is a once-a-lifetime course, so once a coach has completed this course once, they are meeting the requirement. This course can be found at the following link: https://nfhslearn.com/courses/coaching-diving

01/18/23 – Board of Control Approves Football Realignment, RPI Revision, Jenkins Placement in Region 14
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: JAN. 18, 2023
The KHSAA Board of Control conducted its fourth regularly scheduled meeting of the 2022-23 academic year on Wednesday in Lexington, approving football realignment and revisions to the RPI calculations, as well as the placement of Jenkins in Region 14 for basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball.
The Board’s approved football realignment will be effective during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The current enrollment data used for the 2023 and 2024 classifications are from the 2019-20 and 2022-23 school years. Notice to Officials for Changes for 2023-24 Licensing
Thank you for your interest in licensing as a sports official. We shared earlier in the year with the local Assigners that the Association is working towards moving licensing, clinics, etc. that would be executed through the Arbiter system.
We are currently engaged in this process and therefore the renewal process for fall sports for 2023-2024 is suspended through the completion of that process. Once we have completed the transition a notification will be sent out alerting you to license or relicense at that time.
If you are a new official and would like to provide contact information so that we may alert you when the system is open, please do so using this link: Link to provide contact info for new officials.
We appreciate your continued efforts as an official as well as your patience during this transitional time. This move should help consolidate things for you in the future.

The bowling head coach or Athletic Director for each participating member school should enter Unified student-athletes on its postseason roster on the KHSAA database for Unified bowling.
From that postseason roster, coaches can submit regional entries to the regional manager, via Form BW 127, four (4) days prior to the first day of each regional tournament. A student-athlete must be listed on the roster in […]
