The Kentucky High School Athletic Association shall sponsor postseason competition in boys volleyball, provided that there is sufficient interest of the membership and such is approved by the Board of Control. The Commissioner shall divide the state into geographic sections with the approval of the Board of Control.
The alignment shall be reviewed for changes annually as the Commissioner and staff bring proposed changes to the Board of Control following review. During the early years of this championships, participation may change and require regular adjustments which will be done in the "off season" to allow for seeding plan considerations..
In the interim, newly added or deleted programs will be handled on a case by case basis by the Commissioners office.


As of January 2025, the alignment is as follows (with manual notations to be made during the transition to the KHSAA360/ArbiterSports system):
