09/06/24 – REMINDER: KHSAA/PlayVS Fall 2024 Esports Interest Survey & Other Important Updates

As we gear up for the Fall semester, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Fall esports season!

For the past 5 years, we’ve been partnering with PlayVS, and up until now, we have had close to 1,982 players competing in top games. Participation remains completely free, and enrollment for Fall 2024 is still open!

If you’re interested in participating or want to learn more, please complete this brief survey: https://ly.khsaa.org/j4mw. 

Completing this survey does not commit your school to the Fall season, but it helps us provide you with additional information. Even if you’re unsure, we encourage you to fill it out even if you are a “maybe” at this point.

Select schools that fill out the interest survey and participate in the upcoming Fall season will have the opportunity to receive a Nintendo Switch bundle* (a value of $650) and/or a game copy of Madden NFL 25 and/or a game copy of NBA2K25 if they previously haven’t received one.

We look forward to yet another exciting season and warmly welcome new faces!

*The bundle includes a Nintendo Switch console, a wired controller, and a LAN adapter.

Enroll for Preseason

• Fall ’24 Enrollment – For most leagues, the Fall ’24 Preseason is just a week away! Before preseason begins, follow these Enrollment Steps.

• Important: We highly recommend that all teams participate in at least one preseason match for team readiness, as technical questions may arise depending on your sport. This affects new coaches & experienced alike

League of Legends: Campus Unlock
Riot Games has put the Campus League Unlocked program on hold and it may not be available for the Fall ’24 season. With Xbox & PC Game Pass, you can get all champions unlocked for free. For more options, view How to Unlock Every League of Legends Champions for Free.

Fall ’24 Schedules
This season, we have a standard High School schedule and unique schedules posted for alternative leagues! Most schools will follow the High School Fall ’24 Schedule.

Madden NFL 25 is Moving to Next Generation Consoles! 

The latest Madden NFL title is now available – Madden NFL 25! With the newest version of this title, PlayVS is shifting to next-generation consoles beginning this Fall 2024 season. This means all of our Madden NFL leagues will only be competing on PlayStation 5 and cross-play compatible systems. For more information on compatibility, please visit our Madden NFL Help Article.

And don’t forget, now through September 6th, when you enroll a Madden NFL 25 team on the PlayVS Free-to-Compete platform, your school will be entered for a chance to win* 1 of 3 Playstation 5 consoles!

NBA 2K25 is Moving to Next Generation Consoles! 

NBA 2K25 is now available! With the newest version of this title, PlayVS is shifting to next-generation consoles beginning this Fall 2024 season. This means all of our NBA2K leagues will only be competing on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S. For more information on compatibility, please visit our NBA 2K25 Help Article.
