The KHSAA is proud to partner with the Kentucky High School Athletic Directors to make available to our membership a copy of an extraordinary publication related to Title IX. Title IX and Interscholastic Athletics, How it All works – in Plain English is literally a how-to guide for the interscholastic (high and middle school) level.

For complete information about the manual, see the link at http://www.khsaa.org/titleix/flierforgoodsportsbook.pdf.  We are proud to offer the $109 manual to the membership for only $40 through October 15 thanks to the cooperation of the  KHSAA Board of Control and the Kentucky High School Athletic Directors Association. To order this manual, go to http://www.khsaa.org/payments/publications/.

“Title IX and Interscholastic Athletics: How It All Works – In Plain English,” a self evaluation manual and desk reference for high schools and middle schools, is the one-stop encyclopedia for Title IX’s application to interscholastic athletics programs. This 700 page Manual/Workbook-CD is a comprehensive, definitive, and unique guide that enables education officials to accurately evaluate their school’s compliance status with Title IX, or simply use the Manual as a quick reference for answers to everyday Title IX questions.

The Manual/Workbook-CD (sold as one item) is a technical manual that doesn’t read like one. It contains detailed, step-by-step instructions for conducting a self-evaluation, and recommends self-evaluation teams of three to four reviewers. Schools choosing to do self-evaluations may desire that each member of their self-evaluation teams have a copy of the Manual, in addition to the athletic director, other athletics staff, and school district counsel. See a detailed description of the Manual and the table of contents at www.titleixspecialists.com. Also, see what educators are saying about our College manual (“What Your Colleagues Are Saying About The Manual”), after which the high school / middle school manual is patterned.”
