08/02/13 – Regional Series of Meetings Scheduled Again for 2013-2014

This reminder is for all member school Superintendents, Principals and Athletic Directors within the KHSAA.

For the fall of 2013, the KHSAA is again scheduling an Athletic Administrator Workshop in eight areas of the state. The content for this non-mandatory workshop will include instructional sessions on managing the coaching and player data for your school, an update on the operations and projects around the KHSAA and many elements related to Title IX and those required reports and functions. These sessions will begin just after 8 a.m. and continue through 12:30 p.m. Based on evaluative feedback, we will continue through the morning and end around 12:30 to allow for the host school to easily accomodate the end of the school day, and the attendees to get on the road.

A final schedule will be sent to all registered attendees. This session would be invaluable for new ADs as well as those simply wanting to re-familiarize themselves with the Bylaws and Tournament Rules, online operations and Title IX parameters. We will be offering assistance with KHSAA rules and answering questions concerning paperwork, forms, requirements, etc. to help keep the communication lines between this office and our member schools open and informative.

The first of these workshops will be held on Wednesday, August 21 at Hart County High School in Munfordville. A complete schedule is listed below. We hope you plan on attending or sending an administrator from your school to participate. This workshop is NOT required. Attendance at this meeting does not fulfill the Principal meeting requirement (as the content is totally different), but we are working hard to make this content-filled meeting worthwhile for all that attend and will be posting EILA credit to those who attend.
